I just finished watching this documentary called “Average Joe on the Raw”. I have been studying the raw food diet over the last few weeks and just by chance came across this film.
I have decided that I NEED to improve my health! I am totally disgusted with my eating habits and I am worried that my son’s health (specifically his mental health) may be affected by eating the “Standard American Diet”. I want him to eat more raw, alive foods, but I know that I need to change my lifestyle before I can help him to do the same.
My son is extremely defiant and at certain times of the day he is so wound up that he is literally bouncing off the walls! It takes FOREVER to get him calmed down enough to go to bed at night. He goes to the bathroom for bowl movement about 1 time per WEEK and always clogs up the toilet. The entire day before and of the bowel movement he is so uncomfortable. I just know that it as to do with his SAD diet and I feel it is my responsibility to create a better lifestyle for the both of us.
So, I have started purchasing books on eating raw food and looking at cookbooks on how to prepare raw foods. I am reading the “80/10/10 Diet” right now and started following some blogs like Megan Elizabeth and Fully Raw Kristina. I also found the website Raw Food Rehab. All of these have really ignited my passion to make this change toward eating a Raw Food diet. I really want to just jump in and do this completely, BUT I think slowly adding in more and more raw food and then eliminating more and more cooked/processed foods is the route that will be easiest and most long-term for me. Also being that my husband is not at all interested in making this change, it is going to be a bit harder for me.
After watching this awesome documentary and seeing the amazing changes in Seth‘s test results and watching his miraculous change from the inside out, I am even more inspired to continue incorporating raw foods and encouraging my son to do the same. This was a really eye opening film!!
